Acne Scar Treatments, Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr. Sagar Gujjar Prior to fractional skin resurfacing or ablative laser treatments, Dr. Gujjar will pre-treat the skin with a Cosmelan Peel to prepare the skin cells and allow for deeper penetration of the laser treatment. When used before and after the laser procedures, Cosmelan and Enlighten can also decrease the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation for patients with darker skin types.

When do i see the results?
You may start to see noticeable results from acne scar laser treatment after a few weeks, with continued improvement over several months as collagen production increases and scars gradually fade. Individual response times can vary.
Post Treatment care & Instructions
- Avoid touching the treated area for at least 24 hours.
- Wash the treated area gently with a mild cleanser and warm water twice a day.
- Apply a moisturizer to the treated area twice a day.
- Avoid using harsh or abrasive products on the treated area.
- Avoid sun exposure to the treated area for at least 48 hours, and wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher when you are outdoors.
- If you experience any redness, swelling, or pain, apply a cool compress to the treated area and contact your dermatologist.
SUBCISON FOR ACNE SCARS
Acne scars are formed when the top layer of skin is being pulled down, which creates a divot and a shadow. Advanced subcision technique is used to release tethered scars that are bound down and depressed due to an underlying scar tissue. In this procedure, a sharp needle is used to pierce the surface of the scar, break the connective tissue or fibrotic bands beneath the skin, and lift and flatten the scar. A cannula may be used in those instances where less trauma is desired or a larger area needs to be treated conservatively.LED LIGHT THERAPY
LED Light Therapy reduces inflammation and blood vessel dilation, which decreases redness and halts further thickening of the irregular collagen. LED therapy can also reduce inflammation, diminish pore size and smooth skin texture when incorporated into your daily, at-home skin care regimen. Intralesional injections, such as steroids (kenacort), fluorouracil (5FU), hyaluronidase, and collagenase are used to soften the scar, disrupt the disordered connective tissue, and shrink the scars.
TOPICAL THERAPIES
Initial treatments for thickened, discoloured scars include topical therapies. Dr. Gujjar’s team customizes the proper combination of silicone-based scar gels with natural growth factors to accelerate the healing process; Vitamin A derivatives, such as retinol and tretinoin; and antioxidants like Vitamin C. Topical steroids are occasionally employed for their anti-inflammatory effects.
TCA CROSS A UNIQUE PROCEDURE
This unique procedure is ideal for ice pick scars and is performed by very few professionals, as it requires extreme precision from an experienced expert. In it, Dr. Gujjar delivers a concentrated chemical solution right to the base of the ice pick scar. The treated area immediately turns white as the skin reacts to the TCA, prompting the production of new collagen. In the days following, the treated area will scab and slowly start to resurface, with significant improvement possible in 3-6 treatments.

I have had a great experience with skinwood so far they are extremely deserving of a 5 - star rating for their upscaled and an innovative approach to skin care. One of the preferred personnels who works for Skinwood is Pooja Bhatt. She’s absolutely phenomenal at her job for various reasons. One of the main reasons is that - she’s absolutely soft spoken and patient. She also is seamlessly able to module between a gentle to a not pressured touch over the skin based on the equipment she’s handling, that owes credit to her experience i believe. Dr. Sagar Gujjar is legit the best! I've been to a bunch of dermatologists, and nobody really got what was up with my skin. But Dr. Sagar? Dude knows his stuff. He took the time to break it all down for me, no rushing, just chill vibes.
